Our Managing Director
Mr. Umesh, a distinguished figure in the gem industry, has enhanced his expertise through the German and European gemological qualifications. He earned Diplomas in Gemology from the German Gemological Association and The Gemmological Association of Great Britain. His pursuit of knowledge extends beyond gemstones; he holds an MBA from the University of Chichester.
As of the year 2023-24, he holds the position of President in the Alumni Association of the Gem & Jewellery Research and Training Institute of Sri Lanka, which boasts a membership of over 300 individuals. In this role, he actively contributes to fostering responsible and sustainable development in the Sri Lankan gem industry. Additionally, he serves as one of the 31 directors of the Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Association, an organization comprising about 200 members.
